Year 6

Year 6 is split into two classes and taught by Mrs Stokes and Mrs Biddell.

This year the school will be taking on a whole new curriculum called the International Primary Curriculum.  This is used by hundreds of schools all over the world, not just in Britain, to explore science, history, geography, society and International issues.

The children will meet lots of new themes and experiences, ranging from “Airports” to “Treasure” and “How the Brain Learns” to “The Rainforest”, plus many, many more.  More from each Year Group soon!

Most importantly the themes particularly develop skills for life-long learning and personal development.  I hope you will find the children coming home each day telling you of the exciting things they have been doing.

(The International Primary Curriculum has a website with more information for parents if you would like to know more visit: http://www.internationalprimarycurriculum.com
