Mufti
On the last Friday of each month the school has a MUFTI Day on which the children can wear their own choice of clothes (sensible and appropriate, of course). There is a small charge for this privilege – 50 pence, which goes towards books, plays, games and charity donations.
PE KIT
The Abbey School also has a set P.E. Kit which is as follows:
- Dark navy / black / charcoal grey shorts (jogging bottoms in cold weather)
- Abbey School t-shirt in white/blue or alternatively plain white t-shirt Trainers.
- Bare feet are used for floor work and gymnastics in the hall.
These should all be named and kept in a “sensibly” sized bag.
Each year some groups attend swimming lessons for about half a term and will therefore require a swimming costume, towel and a swimming hat if possible.
Our cloakrooms are small, please try to limit the size of bags brought to school.
In wet or snowy weather children are requested to remove outdoor shoes within school and either to wear their plimsolls or other indoor shoes.
During PE, games and swimming, watches must be removed. Stud earrings must either be covered by a plaster or removed by themselves.
Please make sure that your child’s name is on all clothing and property brought to school.
