Fundraising by Friends of the School

Please spare some of your time for your children and join us either to organise events or just help out from time to time.  The money raised goes towards buying things like the climbing wall, shown below...

The purpose of the Friends of the School is to encourage teachers, parents and children to meet together at social activities.  Approximately £5000 - £7000 is raised every year.

The Friends of the School also help support the school by providing funds and equipment for use within school, therefore enabling your child to receive the best from their education.  There are various fund raising events during the year, which so far have paid for such items as computers, TV, video, books and technology equipment and classroom blinds.

As a parent you are welcome to attend informal meetings during the year and each September a committee is elected.  In fact we desperately need your support to keep the Friends of the School going, so please if you would like to help let the Headteacher know as soon as possible.

We hope you will support the school through the Friends events. 

Money that you've helped to raise has been spent in the following ways:

• musical instruments - £2000
• PE equipment - £4000
• Blinds - £4000

The Nearly Summer Event in 2008 - raised £1522.11

The Nearly Summer Event in 2007 raised £1900.  It was a great day, as you'll see from the photos below...
