Assessment, recording and reporting
Teachers assess children all the time, both informally and formally. For National Curriculum subjects this is in accordance with nationally set levels.
There are Parent Consultations each term to meet with your child’s teacher. Towards the end of the summer term all parents will receive a written report, which includes comments on academic progress as well as personal and social development.
National Tests for Year 6 children take place during May each year and their results form part of their report. Years 3, 4 and 5 will also take part in tests during this period.
