Admissions
The school operates on a planned admission limit system of 60 children per year group, as laid down by Northamptonshire County Council. Parents whose children are attending our partner school (St. James Infant) will be contacted during the Spring Term.
Parents of children attending other schools who wish to apply should contact the Headteacher in good time and at the latest by Spring Half Term. The governors of the school try to meet parental preference whenever they can. Our admissions policy is available and the criteria set out will be followed.
Before starting at the Abbey, to familiarise children with our building and routines they are able to spend one complete day here. Other visits are also arranged. There is an evening meeting for parents to meet the Head and class teachers just before the end of the summer term. Close links between St. James Infant and the two secondary schools, Danetre and William Parker are considered to be very important by staff and Headteacher. Both the staff and children make visits to and from these schools.
