Absences

Parents must notify us of children’s absences in writing or by telephoning, preferably on the first morning they are away.  If we do not hear from you then the school may phone you on Friday to check on the reason for the absence.   If children are ill, they should of course stay at home. 

We are willing to give prescribed medication to children who are well again, but who need to complete a course of medicine.  Please complete and bring into the school office a medication request form for medicines to be administered by school. However, this is a voluntary activity and parents will appreciate that in the busy life of school this may not always be possible. 

We also ask parents to arrange family holidays or outings during school holidays so that your child’s education is not affected.  Parents are reminded that the school can only authorise 10 days holiday in any one academic year.  Please complete and bring into the school office a holiday request form for time off during term time.
